02Visiting the website

When you open our website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data, such as your IP address, the date and time of access and the page requested. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.

Our website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools. Fonts and all other content are loaded directly from our website.

03Contact form and email

When you use the form, we process your email address. When you email us, we also process the content of your message. We use this data to reply to your request and to stay in contact with you.

Form submissions are automatically checked for spam.

04Building data

We analyse data on buildings and supply manufacturers and suppliers of building technology with lists of buildings where equipment such as the heating system is likely to be replaced.

• Data: information on buildings from publicly available official sources, such as location, year of construction, use, and the type and age of the building technology. Where a building can be attributed to a specific person, as happens with single-family homes, this information counts as personal data.
• Purpose: estimating whether and when a replacement is due for a building, and supplying prioritised lists of buildings to our clients for their sales activities.
• Justification: our overriding interest, and that of our clients, in targeted market development (Article 31(1) FADP).
• Recipients: manufacturers and suppliers of building technology.

05Recipients and transfers abroad

We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:

• Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg: storage and analysis of building data in data centres in Europe
• Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA: website hosting and receipt of form submissions
• Akismet, used by Netlify: spam checks on form submissions, USA
• Microsoft (Microsoft 365): email and files

Personal data may be transferred to EU member states and to the United States. EU member states count as states with adequate data protection. Netlify and Microsoft are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council recognised with effect from 15 September 2024. Where a recipient is not certified, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other safeguards under Article 16(2) FADP.

06Your rights

You can ask whether and which personal data we process about you, you can ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and you can object to processing. To do so, write to privacy@rooxtechnologies.com. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to verify your identity.
