02About this policy
This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit rooxtechnologies.com or contact us, what we use it for and what rights you have. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
03Visiting the website
When you open our website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data, such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested and details of your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.
Our website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools. Fonts and all other content are loaded directly from our website, without any third-party embeds.
04Contact form and email
When you use the form, we process your email address and the time of your request. When you email us, we also process the content of your message and any details you provide.
We use this data to reply to your request and, if a conversation follows, to maintain our business relationship with you.
Form submissions are automatically checked for spam before they are forwarded.
05Recipients and transfers abroad
We do not pass personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. To run the website and communicate with you, we use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA: website hosting and receipt of form submissions
- Akismet, used by Netlify: automatic spam checks on form submissions, USA
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365): email communication
Personal data may be transferred to the United States. Netlify and Microsoft are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The Swiss Federal Council recognised the United States as providing adequate data protection for certified companies with effect from 15 September 2024. Where a recipient is not certified, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other safeguards under Article 16(2) FADP.
06Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as the purpose requires or the law obliges us to. Requests that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted once they have been dealt with.
07Your rights
You can ask us at any time whether and which personal data we process about you. You can ask for incorrect data to be corrected and for data to be deleted, and you can object to processing. Where the legal requirements are met, you can also ask to receive your data in a common electronic format.
To do so, write to hello@rooxtechnologies.com. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to verify your identity.
You also have the right to contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch.
